Hiking
Rendalen is THE eldorado for all kinds of hikers. You can find trails with different levels of physical challenges. Most trail heads are within toll roads. Hiking guides are available in Rendalen.

Challenging hike. 9 hrs total. Flat trail 2,5 hrs to the feet of Sølen, by the pond Skardtjønna. From there approx 90 mins steep up to summit,1755 m asl. The most beautiful 360 dgr panorama from there.

Hiking trail to (Mt) Byringen (1038 m asl). The hike takes approx. 90 minutes up and 60 mins. for return. Snowshoeing in the wintertime, in the darkness, under the stars, or under the moon, that is a wonderful experience you'll never forget! At the summit you will find a cabin, a former fire guard hut, which is open, and where you can stay over night; two beds.

There are two paths coming together in Rendalen; The one from the municipality in south: Åmot, and the other one from Trysil - both heading direction Nidaros. Read more:

Fishing
Rendalen is not at least an real eldorado for fishing! On the lakes, by the lakes, rivers or ponds. These pictures are your guide to good fish spots.

Cycling & biking
Our roads are less trafficked and perfect for road cycling. There are also a big net of dirt roads, and also possibilities for mountainbike and more - watch VIDEO

Berry and
Mushroom picking
Late summer it is possible to find amounts of wild tasteful berries in Rendalen: raspberries, blueberries, mullets and cranberries.
